Pregnant at 42

I am 7 weeks pregnant with my 5th child. Our boys are 21, 18, 15, & 13! After 3 weeks I told my husband. He is shocked but happy. We both have wanted another baby but years ago. I am very anxious about being an older mom. I am also nervous about sharing the news with the boys & our families. Obviously this was not planned.

I am 41, will be 42 when the baby is due.  I am also 7 weeks.  I have a 16 yr old and 18 yr old. I completely understand!  I told my 2 a few days ago... after the shock wore off its all excitement and happiness.  Pregnancy is a blessing!  I am scared to death, but God is in control!  Good luck!

I'm 44 and had my 10th baby in may, ranging in age from 20yr down, and my 18 yr old came and picked me up from the hospital ! :) now that felt weird, it felt like I should have been picking her up :) anyway apart from the fact that your kids will prob be shocked and horrified that you two still ""do it"I'm sure they will happy for the both of you :) and being an older mum is the best :) enjoy this pregnancy for the wonderful thing it is and well done :)

Congrats! I am also 42, and have 4 healthy kids 22, 21, 18 and 10. I am due in 4 weeks (hopefully less). At first my kids thought it was weird that I am "old" and pregnant, but now they think its great and can't wait to meet their new little brother. My 21 year old is pregnant and due in Jan next year so will be a new mum and a grandmother all in one go! I wish you all the best :-)

CONGRATS!!!  I was very much the same way for my parents.  My siblings were 13, 15 and 17 when I was born and they were all very excited!  (Once my older brothers got over the shock that their parents still "did it!"  Ha ha!)

Good luck!
