Progesterone Suppositories

I was put on progesterone suppositories on Jan 21st. I am now 5.5 weeks pregnant. I have 3 children and all pregnancies were healthy, but then had 2 miscarriages last year. No tests were run they just called them in for me over the phone without even seeing me (same doctors office that delivered my 15 month old daughter). I don't see my doctor until feb 21st. I'm so nervous. I read something online that said that if the miscarriages are caused by something else (choromosone defect or something) then using the suppositories could just prolong a non viable pregnancy. I just don't know WHAT to do. I'm so stressed out. Also, I've had some light pink tinge to discharge twice in the last 24 hours, but was told that can be normal when using these.

Does anyone know a good way to clean the progesterone suppositories applicators, I have tried rubbing alcohol w / Qtips. but it doesn't do a very good job.

I'm starting to get worried. I have a bad feeling that something isn't right. I stil have the spotting off and on. I feel a little crampy too, but I know that can be normal. I don't know.. I just have a feeling it's not going well AGAIN.

My dr also told me that if a pg was meant to fail for genetric reasons, progesterone supplements will not affect that.

I was put on progesterone suppositories because my level was dropping very quickly.  I stayed on them till I was 12wks and tomorrow I will be 36wks.  While one them, I did experience pink tinged discharge.  The dr told me it was normal.

I am on progesterone too and I was told and have read all over the place that progesterone will not sustain a baby with problems it only helps low progesterone levels...I had this fear too but my doctor assured me if your body was rejecting a child due to an abnormality of the fetus...the progesterone won't sustain it...so don't worry....all will be okay...keep taking them and good luck!

No, they haven't run anything. I didn't go in after the last miscarriage in September because they didn't do anything for me after the first one in March so I felt like it was a waste of time. You'd think that they'd get me right in and start checking things out immediately, but they aren't. I have to have a consultation (even though I'm not a new patient) this Thursday. It's just with a medical assistant to give me an Rx of prenatals (which i've been taking since the last pregnancy) and weigh me and get a urine sample and take my blood. They ask all the same darn questions that they ask every stinking time. I don't understand why they have current patients go through this consult. I understand they want to get the preliminary stuff out of the way without involving the doctors but in my case, you'd think they'd get me in to see the doctor the same day or something.

just keep taking them until you see a dr.. If you get your hcg tested by the time is is 1000-2000 you can have an u/s that should be now.. or very close to now about 6 w you should be able to see a h/b.  They didn't run tests after your last 2 m/c?  Good luck and demand what you want from your dr.  We pay them... don't be afraid to be assertive.
