Question about straps in car seat...

Hi Ladies.. When did you move up the straps on the car seat? Brayden is 4 months old (in 2 days) and the straps were all the way at the bottom and it was just too tight and also too hard to get him in and out of them so I moved them up. Has anyone else ran into this problem and what did you do about it? I'm wondering if they have to be a certain age, weight, or height to move the straps up.

Thanks!
Patty

In an infant car seat, you can adjust the straps at anytime to adjust to your baby as they grow.  You position your baby facing forward once he is 20lbs or 1 yrs old.  There is conflicting answers to this, because some babies weigh 20lbs+ before the one year mark.  You can call your local State Police Dept and they will have the guidelines, as well as showing you exactly how your infant car seat should be installed and secured.
