Good morning, I am new to this forum and have a question. I am 39 and pregnanct with my 4th child. In 2003, I had a miscarriage which is probably why i am stressing. With all my pregnancies, I've had all the early pregnancy symptoms, sore breasts, constant trips to the bathroom, etc. My hubby had all of my morning sickness with our 3 yrs old son. Now, I found out I was pregnant when I missed my period. I am about 5 weeks along and I'm not really feeling in pregnancy symptoms. My breasts hurts from time to time. I use the restroom just a little more than I was, and I am moody. But I don't have any symptoms like I had with all my other children. And honestly, I don't feel pregnancy (my prgnancy was confirmed at the clinic). I am not scheduled to my ob until June 19th. My hubby is experincing pregnancy symptoms likehe did with our 3 yr old. Am i just making mysel nervous? Could something be wrong? This wasn't a plan pregnancy. I am nervous as hell. Please help. Oh, I am a type 2 diabetic and my diabetic dr has changed me to insulin.
Since you're not that far along, I wouldn't worry plus as Sandi said, every pregnancy's different. I really wouldn't worry until there's something to worry about - stress isn't good for you or the baby. Of course I'm president of NWWA (national worry warts assoc.) & Sandi's my v.p.! The ladies are so supportive here & will answer your questions. A lot of us just had babies but there are plenty out there who are in their 1st trimester. Good luck & SSBD - jennifer
Welcome. I am also 39 and have experienced 3 m/c in a row. With the first one I had a tonne of symptoms, and the last one I didn't. My OB told me it is not an indication of anything. Many of the ladies here have breezed through with no symptoms at all and had perfectly healthy babies. It is so scary, trust me I know. I am a charter member of 40smama NWWA club and stressed about everything and I know I will next time as well. You are fine. If you have symptoms that suddenly just dissapear for a period of time, have yourself looked at, but other than that, no worries. With 3 healthy pregnancies behind you, your odds are very very good.
Congrats and best of luck for a happy healthy 8 remaining months.
Denise, I concur with the others; sounds like you have nothing to worry about! I've been stressing and posting Qs left and right on this site about all my symptoms/lack of symptoms and have been reading everything that's been written..and I do recall one mother of three saying all three of her pregnancies were entirely different: I believe one had no symptoms at all. I also recall someone saying her sister had zero symptoms until month 7 (other than showing, I'm assuming)! My lab tech's assistant also told me she had a sister who delivered a baby without ever knowing she was pregnant. Finally, I recall my best friend during one of her pregnancies saying how nervous it made her because she didn't feel pregnant AT ALL. I could go on but I think you get the picture! Congratulations!!
thank you ladies. yes, i was woried. well, to be honest, i am still a little worried, but ur comments have made me feel lots better. i guess i wont feel completely stressed free until after my first appointment. thanks again.
