Sciatic Pain

Does anyone know or have any suggestions how to get rid of or at least minimize sciatic pain.  I now also have plantar facsiitis (heel Pain).  I've done several months of therapy for both with minimal success.  Help!!!!  I've had this issue for over 14 years.  My GP just tells me to manage the pain.  I can only work part-time as I can only sit for short periods of time.  I can't do several activities with my six year son because I can't walk, stand or sit for more than half hour at a time.  My quality of life is really depressing.  Thank you for any imput anyone may be able to provide.

Get a hard small ball, like a tennis ball! Use it on the areas that hurt. I have si joint pain, and siatic pain! My Pilates teacher told me to sit on it on the side it hurts and move it around in circles... same with my legs and small of back! It helps so much...
