Second Cycle IUI

Are there anyone on their second IUI?  I completed my first cycle of IU’s I in January.  It ended in me getting my AF.  I was (AM) very sad about it.  I'm contemplating trying it again. Any advice from anyone?

This is my fourth cycle of clomid. I am over a week late and went in on monday for a pregnancy test came back negative.  Having all the pregnancy woes (nose bleeds-didn't even know that had anything to do with pregnancy, but looked it up and of course sore breast and the little bumps around the nipples.)  He wants to retest me on Friday, so i know how you feel.  Keep trying.  I was going to try IUI, but just decided I would take clomid and get shot for ovulation and intercourse the old fashion way.  If this cycle didn't work, i think I will straight to IVF.

I know it's frustrating.  Especially if you do consecutive IUI cycles.  Drove me nuts.  Hang in there.  Sometimes it takes up to 3-5 tries.  Don't lose faith.  I know it's hard, but try to be patient (and persistant.)  I decided to gradually become more and more aggressive with each month.  And look, I ended up with twins!

In fact, with each cycle, I think your odds go up, because they can "tweak" the meds and timing of the IUI till you get it just right.

We were successful on our 3rd IUI.  We conceived twins!  With only 8 million sperm!

You should definitely try again, we have just completed our 4th try at IUI and I have just found out I am 5wks 3days pregnant. I am completely understand how you are feeling but the wonderful sisters at my fertility clinic kept telling me my odds didn't go down with each try so we just hung in there and now have this amazing positive result.

Don't give up...you will get there in the end...good luck

You should definitely try it again and even again if need be.  These things often take multiple tries just like getting pg the old fashion way.

My son who just turned one year old was conceived on the 3rd IUI, and I am 6wk6d pg right now, and this time it happened on the 4th IUI.  If for some reason this one doesn't work out, I will try 4 more times if I have to.

Best of luck to you!! Don't give up... this ttc can be tough business.  It is a winding road but you will get there.
