So Worried

I am starting to worry myself. I have had diarrhea for the past 5 days. I went to the doc but she doesn't seem to worried, I asked her if it was common in pregnancy, and she said that she hasn't heard of it. I am so worried it is Listeria. Can someone give me some advice.

Thanks

Listeria presents mainly with Fever and aches. gastro problems on their own would not usually mean Listeria.

Try not to over-analyse everything yourbody is doing and keep yourself hydrated. I noticed that my digestive system played up in the first trimester because of my change in diet (due to morning sickness, tiredness and my tastes changing... ). it will settle....and then go in the other direction for a while!

Good luck!

I had it too.  I think with listeria you would probably be pretty sick.  I know it's not "technically" a pregnancy symptom, but I used to go from severe constipation to not being able to get out of the bathroom (ok, tmi..lol).  It's good you asked your Dr. about it, but it does sound like all is fine.  I agree with Staned...keep yourself really hydrated!!

Hi, I don't know what I would do without medhelp, I already have 4 children and didn't have it with them. Thanks for your advice :-)

Having diarrhea is how I found out I was pregnant. It started the week after conception and lasted about 2-3 weeks. You are fine. Don't worry. Drink lots of liquids.
