TTC AT 44

I got pregnant when I was 41 and 3 months old.  I'm TTC and I use the Ovu Kit that supplies a whole month's worth of sticks.  When is the best time to try to conceive after my period?  One day after it's over, two days, three days?  I need some help here girls.  Good luck to all TTC! God send some baby dust my way please.

Ok, if you have a 28 day cycle, you probably ovulate around day 14 (28 - 14 = 14).  It's best to start baby dancing prior to ovulation day, so day 10, 12 and 14 are probably great days to give it a try!  Best of luck.

Not quite, but close.  It depends on how many days you usually have between periods.  Most women ovulate 14 days before their next expected period, and it's helpful to start having intercourse about 2 days before you expect to ovulate.  So what you are telling me above would be true if you had a 24 day cycle.  See what I mean?  I know, it's confusing.  But lots of babydust coming your way!!

My period began 3-12, so then 10 days later would be 3-21. So usually 10 days after the first day of my period is when I'm ovulating, correct? thanks for the help on this. Baby dust please.

Hi there.  The best time to conceive really depends on your cycles.  Most of us ovulate about 14 days BEFORE we get our period.  And the best time to have intercourse is usually starting a few days before ovulation.  So, if you have a regular 28 day cycle, (count the first day of bleeding as day 1), then you probably ovulate around day 14, meaning you should have intercourse regularly (every day is fine, or every other day) starting around day 10.   If your cycle is typically 30 days (again, counting first day of bleeding as day 1), then chances are you ovulate around cycle day 16, so start having intercourse around cycle day 12 or 13.  You get the idea.

It is possible (and not uncommon) to have a regular cycle, but not necessarily ovulate when you would expect to.  This is especially true as we get older.  So watch your bodies for signs such as egg white cervical mucus, etc.  Or, you can try having intercourse every 2nd or 3rd day throughout your cycle!  That covers all the bases.

Best of luck to you.
