TTC while breastfeeding

Hi everyone,  I know this is ridiculous to ask this question this early (!) (I'm 14 weeks with my first baby), but here goes....Because of my age we want to have our next child right away (assuming I can have a baby then; I'll be 40).  I really want to breastfeed but have heard this will make it harder to conceive.  Does anyone have experience with this?  I have also ready that breastfeeding more than 3 times a day will make it harder but perhaps only breastfeeding 2 times a day we could still conceive.  Thanks in advance:)

Gee, I don't know if it "takes longer" to get AF w/a c-section. I would have to bet no, it's all the same. I am 9 weeks PP right now and am wondering when I will get my AF. I certainly don't want to be pregnant this soon. I tend to think my dr. would frown against it, ha ha.... Last time around I started trying at 5 months. I got pregnant at 9 mo's but miscarried and got pregnant again after my first AF after miscarriage (11mo's). Now I have a 21mo dd & 9week ds. It's tough at first, but we're getting the hang of things.

Thank you.  That's encouraging that you got AF so soon even while breastfeeding.  I have not even had my baby yet-I'm only 3 1/2 months pregnant!  But I just can't help planning ahead...
With a c-section, does it take longer to get AF?

The less you feed the more your body is going to try to get back on track.   Every person is different though. I got my first AF 16 weeks PP and was exclusively bf'ing with my dd and I was ready again too! It's not crazy at all. Did you have a c-section or vaginal? That's the only thing I worry about.  I just had my 2nd section and I will want to ttc after a few months also:) (My ds is 9 weeks :) My kids are 19 1/2 mo's apart....
