Vaccine ?

Hey girls.... So we are getting closer and I was looking for a pediatrician to get established with.. But one of my concerns is getting all the vaccines at one time ( i think its 5 or so at some appointments) We do have someone in our family with autism, and even though they dont believe there is a connection with vaccines and autism, i'd like to be as careful as possible. We defintely want our daughter to get all of her vaccines.. but just are thinking about maybe splitting up into two "sessions" when it involves up to five vaccines (maybe do only 3 max per appointment). Of course this would mean more trips to the pediatrician... but if it even might be a little safer, its worth it to me! Anyone ever do anything like that or have any other ideas? Not sure if a pediatrician would even be open to breaking them up a little more to not overwhelm her immune system. Thanks for all info/opinions! : ) hope everyone is doing well!

thanks so much!!!! im glad I'm not the only one who was thinking about taking this approach! hopefully the pediatrician we go with wont give us too much resistance in doing this.. afterall we are still getting her vaccinated, just spread out a bit.. i dont see the harm in that at all!  Great website by the way as well! thanks!!! We'll i'll be calling pediatricians in thecoming weeks to get established so we'lll see how it goes! : )

I have split them with my 12 year old daughter and DEFINITELY plan on splitting them with the new one coming in Dec.  I'm actually planning on  bringing my baby home before any shots are given.  I need to monitor him first. I want to be able to notice a difference in his behavior (if there is one) before the shots and after the shots.

If there are 5-6 I do split them. Just 2 or 3 here and 2 weeks later the balance. My ped's usually are ok with me splitting them although they push for them all at a time.  Last time they tried to charge me and frankly I'd almost pay it as long as I feel comfortable.
