Vaginal ultrasound at 6 wks and no heart beat
I am 35 years old and found out I am pregnant only recently. I thought I was 5 weeks pregnant but everyone keeps telling me I am 6. I found 4 massive red spots last Friday that set me off in a panic. I called the hospital and they set up a vaginal ultrasound for today. In the meantime I rested and only had brown blood and very faint when I wiped (sorry TMI)
Had the appointment today and there was no heart beat but we did see the sac but no sign of baby as still very small or so the nurse said. I am scheduled for another scan in 2 weeks' time so hopefully all will be well. I had a miscarriage in 2002 so don't really want to go through the same thing. Fingers crossed!

Sadly nothing showed up on the scan this morning. I had quite a painful night and passed a few more clots. Was told that my body will take care of everything. Wish I had more positive news. Thank you so much for your prayers and support. Going to take it easy and then try again after a few months x
I'm so sorry but it sounds like ur gonna have a miscarriage. U probably haven't pass it yet but it starting to happen. Some times something is wrong with the baby that ur body won't support it. It sound like when I had my miscarriage. I'm still going to keep praying for u but try to just sit n rest til u know for sure.
Update: I noticed that the brown bleeding intensified from last Wed (5 days ago) Yesterday after having used the restroom I saw that the bleeding had changed to red. We had a show booked for the evening and when I got up I felt something gushing down. We rushed back and it was rusty red again with quite a few 'clumps'. The redness continued until today and I have cramps now + clots so I am not overly optimistic. I called the clinic and they said to pop over to see the Dr if it worsens. My US is scheduled for tomorrow so I am going to wait it out and hope for the best. I need this miracle

Well, it sounds like to me that things are moving along as they should be! You can be cautiously optimistic, for sure!!!!
Drink lots and lots of water! 80oz's or more a day! It will help keep your uterus hydrated.

Exactly.. that would make sense at 6 weeks. It's the waiting game which is the worst bit!

Well seeing him/her was a blessing now keeping our fingers crossed for next week!

So we went for another vaginal scan yesterday. I still had a slight brown discharge which been going on for 2 weeks already.
So this time the nurse could see the foetal pole. We could see him/her :) So exciting! Which is a good thing since we didn't see anything last time. He measured at 4.9mm which is very small considering I am meant to be 8 weeks pregnant given the dates of my last cycle but that could be off. We reckon I might be 6 weeks pregnant and 4.9mm might make sense then. So I am scheduled in for another scan next week to see if there will be any growth. So another nail-biting week :) They didn't manage to get a heartbeat either this time.

I had a scan after finding out I was pregnant and was devastated when they said no heart beat and he couldn't really even see a sack (the guy was really mean) he was like nothing there good bye. and I was like what??? I mean we had been trying for 11yrs (well gave up after yr 3 when the fertility dr said it was 0% chance of a baby ever happening) anyways I left crying my face off (I would have been 5-6wks) went back two weeks later and there is a little wee one with a heart beat .. I will keep you in my prayers.

Well just in case just rest stay in bed as much as u can until monday. Although I don't think just spotting means that u will miscarry but since it hasn't stopped just be on the safe side n rest until the doc gives u the ur ok.

I had brown blood early in my pregnancy from implantion bleeding or whatever its called. Dont stress its worse for you and baby. Youre in my prayers
noy yet. I am in pieces not knowing. We'll know on Monday. The bleeding hasn't stopped. There are good days when there's nothing when I wipe and then other days when I get a brown pastey type of discharge. I have no idea how I am going to wait until Monday. Hopefully we get some good news!
