Thank you all for being so helpful and responsive! I will go in for a blood test. That will give me the most definitive answer and I can get on with things:-).
I used Clear Blue Digital just 4 days after a transfer of 5 day embryos. That would have made me only about 3-4 weeks, and it was positive. I prefer the digital over the lines because I have too many times found evaporation lines and became confused and stressed over what it meant....LOL
The most sensitive test available on the market is the First Response. No question. However, if you have missed a period, pretty much any test, digital included should register a positive if used correctly. At this point, you might be best to go straight to bloodwork. HCG appears in your blood prior to your urine, although only by a day or two. Also, if you do use an HPT, make sure you are using first morning urine. Good luck!
I think the digital says it can predict early but I don't know what levels it picks up. I've been using the Answer test which I think is made by Clear blue tests but it's pink. It seems always very clear to me... of course I haven't got a positive yet.
I'm hearing that digital HPTs don't pick up the hormone early. You have to be 7 or 8 weeks along. Is that accurate?
I only go with digital now. I hate the line ones as they can pose so many unanswered questions. They are a little more costly but they literally spell it out for you so you dont sit and ask if there are two lines or not.
Best HPT ever - Aimstick from Craig Medical. They can detect up to 20miu HCG which is about 7-10 DPO. I tested positive on my Aimstick for my 2nd kid , 2 days before AF was due (12DPO).
