Zofran

Has anyone taken Zofran and what are some of your side effects? My morning sickness has been horrible...the worst ever. I am usually in bed all day and feeling like I can't do anything. My doctor initially prescribed Diclegis, but it doesn't help me. It made me sleep all day, causing me to skip meals and drinks. It also have me bad headaches. So I asked my DR to please let me try something else. At this point, I'm in tears because I can't keep anything down. Dr calls in Zofran. As soon as I took my first pill, which I had to let it dissolve on my tongue, I felt relief in about 15 minutes. Wow, amazing. Now I can eat. I even felt his enough to shave my legs, which I skipped for a while because I felt so bad.

Zofran knocked me out better than tylenol pm. It was nice to have a break from the sickness, but I can't sleep all day.

Zofran is a miracle pill! It does make you constipated so keep prune juice handy.

No drug is 100% safe in pregnancy but ondansetron (trade name Zofran) is fairly safe.  It does cause constipation. I would take it if I had severe morning sickness.

Zofran is awesome! It sometimes comes with a headache though. I'd keep Tylonol nearby, just in case.
