I am betting it is. I took progesterone for a couple of cycles starting right after O, and for sure it delayed AF. I think that is common. I can't say I recall it being that much heavier, but it makes sense that might happen. I also wonder if part of it isn't the miscarriage. Every time I miscarry AF is irregular and often really heavy for a cycle or two. It wouldn't hurt to mention it to your Dr. though, but I suspect its the combo of progesterone and your loss.
I'm sorry, i read too many mssgs at once or something. Why do you take progest? Mine ease up for a few mos after the surgeries and then they go back to being painful. I'm sure the hormones make them worse. They put some women on bc for bad periods. All the women on my mom's side have had hysto's and other reprod. issues..and she had 5 sisters. Thats why i'm so shocked that i'm preg at such an old age. Try heating pads and hot baths. I also take 800mg Motrin. Good luck!!
Why are you asking about ovulation predictor tests (OPKs)... yes I use them every cycle but I was asking about progesterone and if it can cause a period to be heavier. I had stage 2 endo removed in March and I was hoping periods would be a little less painful. And I do take Vicoden at night if the cramps are bad. Thanks for your reply though.
That totally makes sense. I've had a lap.5 times for endo. It causes bad cramps, and painful intercoarse. I've had to take lortab for the cramps during my periods. I was even told i wouldn't ever conceive. I'm preg for the 2nd time. I didn't have the first one until i was 32 though. Tried for a long time b4 that. Have you ever used a ovulation predictor test?
