I was merely saying that DHEA, no matter what it may be able to do to aid in the process, will not make an older egg young. You have your odds, and they are what they are based on your age. I was not saying that it is impossible at 42 or 45, I was older than that when I had my son. I am just saying take medical advice. If they are saying "bad eggs," ask them what they mean, just the normal course of aging and luck of the draw, or do they mean something specific about chromosomes or your eggs in particular? Talk over what can be done, and take it all into advisement. I'm certainly not saying to give up. On my personal calendar, 42 was young.
Hello, do not worry about what people say!!!! I had my 27th month old at 41 and she was healthy and beautiful and everyone around me was very positive and supportive about it.... people who critize are just hateful!!!!!! just because you are a lil older does not mean that you can't have a good pregnancy and a healthy baby... worry about your physical well being, your pregnancy and your family everyone else do not matter!!!! You are going to be fine and deliver a good healthy baby CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! keep us posted.

Hey girl relax, like someone else told you as long as there is a normal strong heartbeat and everything with the fetus is okay, I would not worry too much about it. My daughter just had a baby and she is 24 she measured small when she was about 20 wks, but the doctor was not too concerned because everything was normal. just relax remember stress is not good for pregnancy or your physical well being.... wait until the next appt and just ask your doctor about it and voice your concerns. I wish you the best of luck with the rest of the pregnancy and birth keep us girls posted... My prayers are with you.
Thank you for your insight, As far as taking anything, including the DHEA it is to help you produce and release a healthy egg. It gives youe eggs a boost to help in the fertilization process to be able to produce a healthy baby and furthermore, there are woman 40 and above 45 who have had healthy babies. Thank you for your advice.
Stinka, the reason your age comes into play is that women are born with all the eggs they are ever going to have, already lined up in their ovaries. So the eggs you have to work with at age 42 are 42-year-old eggs. They are more prone to chromosomal issues as time goes by. This is why children from older mothers have a higher risk of Downs Syndrome and other issues. I have not heard there is anything you can take, DHEA or anything else, that will turn back the clock for the eggs. Maybe there is something the doctor can give you to stimulate ovulation, but that does not sound like ovulating has been your problem. Talk to your doctor about your odds of producing a healthy child with your own eggs at this point, or go to a specialist who deals with the genetic side of the equation and talk to him or her about it, and then go from there.
Hello, I am 42 yrs old, I have had twomiscarriages in the past 8 months because of bad eggs at my age, although I wasn't trying I was ecstatic at the positive test and having another child. Unfortunatley, because of my age I guess I have high FSH levels and I am producing bag eggs and I miscarried twice. I was more hurt the second time because , I was hoping it would be ok!!! I am going to wait a while and do my research with DHEA treatment and try again!!!! Don't give up make sure you see your doctor and and check youe egg count and fsh levels. I hope all turns out for the very best good luck with all this !!!!
