c-section

Hello mommys to be! I just have a question sinces i just moved to FL. From PR. And i dont know yet if Drs. Work the same here as in PR. My question is, when you are going to be a cesarian do they make you wait till you are 40w or they dont, and they schedual it for a week before?

my first two were at 38 weeks in NM and my third is @ 39 and I'm in WY

Unless there are complications, they won't schedule before 39 weeks. I was told it was for liability reasons as well as insurance reasons. They told me that the doc and the hospital will not get paid for a c-section/induction before 39 weeks unless there is a medical reason to make it necessary. Something to do with rules imposed by the March of Dimes.

Im 36 weeks and I live in Florida and my doctor schedule mine at 39 weeks

Why at 37 weeks? Was it scheduled? Or did you just started having contractions and they went and did the c section? Is that im just so anxious and ready! Im 35w still... but im so ready to do this! LOL

If its a schedueled csection with no complications it cant be earlier then 39 is what i was told legally

MY two kids were born in GA,37 week and my third one  c - section will @ 39 in SOUTH Carolina

It depends also in your condition. I'm getting induced at 38 weeks...

depending on where yu live maybe but here in MA they will schedule up to a week before so at 39 weeks. mine is scheduled for tuesday the 18th and i just hit 39 weeks today :) cant wait to meet my baby girl.

Generally whenever you are doctors tend to book elective caesareans at 39 weeks. But it could be different where you are. Sorry I cant give you a yes or no answer.
