Just wondering would you say yes or no to castor oil or if you have taken it before how did it go?

Yes I've taken it. No, I don't recommend it. It didn't help my labor, but made me sick.

There are pros and cons , the cons out weight the pros.. The dangers (from what my specialist had told me) were it can cause diarrhea in your self but can also cause the baby to poop before he/she is born which can be deadly for the baby.

I wouldn't either just bc I've heard so,e pretty horrific stories of how it can harm baby. I know complications don't happen with every one and a lot of women say it's safe (or think it is?) but I'd be waaay to scared that something would go wrong.

Nope. My baby will come when he's ready. Im not rushing him or doing anything un-natural just to be a convenience to myself.

I tried it with one of my kids and all I got was a sleepless night, horrible diareah and the most annoying hemoroid that I get to live with for the rest of my life.  I would not recommend it!

I never once wrote "how i heard its worked for other people so il try it", i generally wanted peoples views/opinions of it as i only heard about it recently and heard alot of mixed reviews. I am 41weeks, due to get induced in 7days.

No. Just because you heard it worked for a few other people does not mean things will go well for you and your baby. It's just not worth the risk,
Can I ask why you're even considering taking castor oil? Are you over due, or just tired of being pregnant? Either way, you Dr knows what's best for you and the baby. If the baby is getting too big or you're way over due then your Dr will most likely start your labor in a hospital setting where it's safe.
Taking anything that you're not supposed to only because you want the baby to be here right now is not a good idea at all.

My doctor says it's very bad for baby because it causes stress which is why most do poo in the womb. She said "frankly it "might" be safer to fall down stairs" she told me to do evening prim rose and it worked just fine.

Agree with EEB1219. Did it with my first, needed neonatalogist in the room because of meconium.

Hell no! Caster oil causes diarrhea and can lead to severe dehydration in addition to causing your baby to poop in the womb and aspirate on meconium.

My friend took castor oil with both of her kids.  She went into labor within a few hours with both. She had a great experience with it. I am definitely considering it!
