effect of loud music on my baby

Most of my friends are songwriters who are in bands or perform solo or in small groups. i go to their gigs, songwriter showcases, houseconcerts and open mics a few times a week. They are mostly folk, blues, and classic rock musicians.
Will their amplified music hurt my baby's ears or will my baby enjoy it just as much as I do? I'm presently 5 weeks pregnant.

yes, completely natural. sure didnt take long, either :) for the past 3 yrs, I thought i was post-menopausal, but apparently I was spotting the whole time (and thus, still ovulating), but just didnt realize it. Only took 1 time w/ a new guy :) I couldnt be happier :) I havent told him yet, but he sure gave me a beautiful gift I will treasure all the rest of my days :)

I also play alot of music, and my son also moved around a lot when he would hear it.  But I agree with the above poster...I would be careful as to the volume.  However, my understanding is they don't actually hear until about 20 weeks.  This might be a good question for your Dr.

BTW, I noticed your profile says you are 50.  Fantastic news on your pregnancy.  Do you mind me asking a bit about your story?  Is your baby naturally conceived?  I don't mean to be intrusive, but hearing your story may help and inspire many other women here.  Best of luck on your pregnancy!

if you need earplugs, i'd say it is too loud for either of you.  but if you can listen comfortably, the baby is fine.
mine loved live music in the womb and danced in my belly whenever a band was playing :)
