energy

This is my 5th pregnancy and I'm just so worn out and only 9weeks. My other 4 were not like this.  What can I do,  eat, take that's safe for the baby to give me some energy.

This is my also 5th pregnancy but the first one that's gone past 11 weeks, sadly none of the others made it. I'm 36 weeks and age 40. I've been exhausted since the beginning and thankfully I can get plenty of rest as I'm fortunate enough not to have to work. One thing that helped me is iron supplements. My iron wasn't low, it was within range and the hospital were happy with it but my midwife said it's better to have higher levels within the range. Especially as I'm a redhead (we bleed more and feel more pain). I feel better with the iron supplements (and prune juice as the tablets can cause constipation). I'm still tired but not as exhausted. The other thing that has helped me recently is acupuncture - my acupuncturist specializes in pregnancy. Recently I just haven't been sleeping and after a session with her I get 2 full nights sleep in a row which is a real energy boost.

I'm so glad to have found this site. This is my sixth pregnancy, it will be hopefully my 4th biological child. We lost a baby at 6 months pregnant last year. So now I am 9 and a half weeks pregnant and exhausted all the time. I work and have 3 kids in extra curricular activities and it takes all I have just to make it home in the evenings. I don't remember is being this bad before. I guess age and pregnancy don't mix very well!!!

I was same way ... Also 5th pregnancy. All mine are under 7, 3, two 1 year olds (& Angel twins boy's) ... Any who this has been the most draining pregnancy ever. Even if I did sleep or eat right, witch was hard because of being sick, but needless to say from about 4 week's to 10 week's I was on auto pilot. Sleep on my feet lol. I was horrified, thinking ok if this is just the beginning how in the world will I get through the next months when I can barely get through the day. Well doll it gets a tad better... I'm 12.5 weeks now, finally have an appetite, & I'm actually feeling like myself again, actually getting dressed (not just pos) so it has definitely been a sigh of relief! Hold on Momma it's all worth it!

I wish I could help.  I too am constantly tired and worn out too and nothing seems to help. I was told I'd get it back during the second trimester, but at 23 weeks, it still isn't happening.  I CAN now make it to the kitchen without a rest break, so there is that.  I hope you get your stamina back soon!
