headaches

I am 38 and pregnant with my 1st.  I am currently 8 wks and I have started having headaches. This is day 3.  It's beginning to worry me and I'm trying not to take any meds.  Is this normal? Any suggestions?

Headaches in your 1st trimester can also be a result of a those wonderful pregnancy hormones. I had headaches in my 1st trimester & didn't want to take meds unless I absolutely needed to. Sometimes putting ice on the back of my neck worked, but if I couldn't stand it anymore, I would take one Tylenol tab.

It is for some people. It also happens if you were used to drinking caffeine and have now stopped.
Be sure you are drinking enough water. Dehydration can cause headaches as well as preterm labor. You should be drinking nearly a gallon of water a day.
