heard doppler hb!!!! 165bm

well, i got my doppler rental about a half hour ago.  it took a good 15-20 minutes to find the baby's heart beat, i kept hearing mine, and checking my pulse, and it matched my pulse so i knew it was mine....

then i just kept looking.  gave up and stopped after 7 mins. thinking it was just too early. then i listened to the instruction cd it came with.  i had been pressing down, and you just need to hold it gently. (i guess if you push down you will just move the baby over awayf rom the doppler)
so i tried again, and within 4 mins. i found it.  just slowly moving it around cm by cm, it was a beautiful sound, i cried, because i think i had convinced myself that it stopped growing.
we counted and it came to 165 bm.  so now i have to do a google search and make sure thats normal for 10 1/2 weeks.

hooray!!!!

yes,  i heard it at 6 weeks it was 120.  but nothing since.  and i was going to have to wait until Nov. 12th for my next appointment.

the suspense and worring was killing me. i was sooooo worth the rental fee, and the overnight shipping.

Oh Stephie!! That is GREAT!!!! The first time you hear it takes your breath away! I heard mine when they did my second ultrasound at 7.1 weeks. She did a vaginal ultrasound and I couldn't see it beating so she let me hear it. It was 148 then. I'm sure it's much stronger now. I go in Nov 15 for my NT testing. I can't wait just to hear the heartbeat again!! Congrats!!

Congratulations!!!  that's great news!

I'm seriously considering renting a doppler too.

At my last check-up, the ultrasound technician said between 120 and 180 bpm is considered healthy.

some sites say 120-160 is normal. this site said 120-180:   http://www.pregnancy-info.net/check_heartbeat.html

Hearing The Heartbeat
Your baby’s heartbeat may sound much faster than you at first expected. The fetal heartbeat can be anywhere between 120 and 180 beats per minute (bpm);
