tanker.. you look beautiful though... and you were so skinny pre baby that I am sure that is your body type and you will be back there in no time... wow... 4 weeks left... you almost get to meet your little boy!!
As of yesterday I've gained 40 lbs and still have 4 weeks (give or take) to go.
I was really hoping I would be one of those preggo people that only gain 25 to 30 lbs.. or well.. I guess it isn't working out that way..

I used to run 3-5 miles at least 5 times a day religiously. I haven't done more than walk 2 miles a few days a week with this preg. My perinatologist isn't keen on running during preg. I've decided to just lie low and play it safe. There will be plenty of time to get back in shape.
Plus, who has the energy to excersise? I sure don't.
I gained about 40 lbs with DD and it all came off within three months, most in three weeks. With this preg, I've gained about 18 pounds at about 25 weeks.
I know it sounds like I am obsessing and I probably am but.... I was like 100lbs heavier 3 years ago and with my belly growing it just makes me feel like I am going back to that and it freaks me out mentally... It is hard to loose so much weight and keep it off and then see it come back... I don't know if you all can understand but I just never want to be where I was before... I was in an unhappy marriage and the weight just came on and I was so sad and felt that I would always be fat.. I worked hard to loose almost 100lbs in 7 months... and well it is just hard because the belly doesn't feel like a baby it feels like fat...
oops.. meant to say eventually got down to 118...lol
I go to the Gym... twice a week.....to watch my son do Tae Kwon Do..hehehe.. I'm not into exercising at all! I wish I were but this adhesion is killer enough on me, I can just imagine running and it jiggling in there!
We do have an elliptical machine but hell I'm too short for that and with a big belly I can just imagine that too..lol
Am I making too many excuses? Ah.. well, I guess it could be worse! You know, with my son I weighed 147 lbs to begin with.. when I went in to have him I weighed 202 lbs, NO LIE GIRLS!! I thought I was so big that weight would never come off!! I walked out the next morning weighing 164 obs, within two months of just walking with my son and niece I managed to lose the rest. got down to 118.
You can't worry about the weight, that will just cause you to be depressed and gain more!! I agree with tahariel, don't worry about it, enjoy being pregnant and when the baby comes if you feel up to it, take Parisa to the mall and show her off, in absolutely every store, absolutely every day!!..hehe...... Seriously, as long as you are gradually gaining then I wouldn't worry about it!
Girl, you need to relax and just let the weight thing go. Otherwise you are going to be all stressed about it, not only now, but after the baby is born too. Unfortunately, I've seen a few women go into depression after baby was born because they focused on their weight, instead of on their beautiful new healthy babies. I don't want that to happen to you too. Throw your scale away, or put it in a closet someplace. Eat well and exercise, and focus your thoughts on your baby. The weight will continue to come until baby is born, and then the weight will go away afterwards. Just be content with knowing you can get rid of the weight later and don't worry about it for now!!! Trust me, I've done it twice already and this will be my third time through. Best wishes!
hhaaha you crack me up!!!
What's that???
Honestly getting from point A to point B takes about as much energy as I can muster up... I just get so winded.. these days.. just sitting down talking can make me get out of breath...
Now that i think about it... maybe a little exercise would help that.....
I am 24 weeks at the beginning I was doing 20 min elliptical. but that is too tiring now,.. dr said because of my high bp I shouldn't raise my heartrate that much... so I have been doing 30-40 min on treadmill walking fast inclined... ufff I hate gaining this much weight!!! it is stressing me out
Squats and lunges are great for legs and butt, and usually safe to do while pregnant. Make sure are doing them correctly though to protect your joints. (check out the resource center and exercise demos at www.babyfit.com)
We joined the YMCA in January and I signed up for their prenatal fitness class. Twice a week and I love it. Then I exercise once or twice more a week whenever I can. Unfortunately my backside seems to be as large as my belly now. My mobility is not very good, so my exercise level is nowhere near were it was pre-pregnant. However, I'm doing my best and trying not to get discouraged. Any exercise is good, even if it is only a fraction of what I use to be able to do. Stay positive and just try your best. Good luck.
I can't remember how far along you are but by the third trimester the only exercise I really got was walking the dog! I think I jogged a couple times but that is it. The first and second trimesters were nice for me and I was able to exercise as I wanted to. But in the third with all the swelling and the big belly - walking was all I could handle! (It was a workout just to get myself ready in the morning and get to work!! I'd be exhausted by the time I sat down at my desk!) Don't push yourself real hard, just take it easy and do what you can. I think squats are OK during pregnancy - especially if you do them with an exercise ball behind your back against a wall. That can help your backside and I think it can also help get the baby low and engaged as well as stretch the perineum!
Best of luck!
