Hi,

welcome here.  Possibly you'll have no problem in 3 years and possibly you'll have big problems.

I am 37 and got pregnant first try and so far it's all going superwell as far as baby is concerned.

However, you just don't know at our age.  So if you are sure you want to have kids you may want to start trying already.

at 35 your eggs dont suddenly "drop" in quality according to my dr.  i had my baby at 36 and we didnt do an amnio, not needed, again it doesnt mean you are suddenly at a much larger risk for downs or other problems.  you do what works for you.  dont get started right away if you arent ready, do get started if you want to easy as that lol.  good luck!  the more you know about when the right times are to concieve the better your chances.

First of all Congratulations on your marriage. Second of all I will agree with everyone here that egg quality, timing, and age are big factors.
I was 18 when I had my first child and  had two more before the age of 21. Its seemed that all my ex had to do was breath near me and I was pregnant.
I am divorced now and that was along time ago. My current partner (not married) has a low sperm count and it took two years before we got pregnant. We were neither "trying" nor "preventing" pregnancy. I was about to give up hope because although we were not "trying" I was hoping every month.
No not allow time to be  your enemy any  more. Get started right away and discuss with your husband how long you will go before seeing a specialist.
Good luck to you

It is different for everyone.  I am now 39, and DH just looks at me sexy and I get pregnant.  My challenge is in making it stick, and my OB says that does have something to do with egg quality at my age.  I wouldn't wait if I were you, best to get started now.  I wish you all the best of luck, and congrats on your marriage.

I will be 41 when I have this baby.  It was a very hard struggle for me.  I was seeing an RE for 2 years, had 4 miscarriage and then had to do clomid for one cycle and hoping this one sticks.  I would suggest to start now or if you want to wait go have have some of your eggs frozen now and then use them in three years.

Im 35 prego w/my first baby and its interesting.  I kind of wish I had started earlier but I will be 36 when I deliver and we want 2 so we are going to try to get pregnant again 4-6mo after we have this one.  So I would be 37 or 38 when I deliver the 2nd....I say get started NOW.

I agree with Suzie, the younger can even have trouble conceiving.  I had my oldest at 17 and my second at 20.  Now I am 38 (got prego at 37) pregnant with baby #3.  I am doing great , but with my situation my boyfriend had the very low sperm count so thats why I am doing this so late.  I am still glad that it happend this way.  I know I have the extra help from both kids now that they are older.  My mother had me at 41 and did fine back in the 70's.  I don't even thing she took prenatals for the fact she had no clue she was pregnant until she hit 6 months.  I guess I turned out fine...hehehe   Best of luck!!!

Everyone is different.  20 somethings can have trouble and 40 somethings can get pregnant easily.  As you get older, your FSH gets higher.  If you KNOW that you want babies, I would start immediately.  The worst thing is to find out that you waited too long. Best of luck

I wouldn't wait long!  After 35 egg quality deminishes quickly.  It is still possible to get pregnant on your own between 37 and 40, but most of my friends in this age group have needed some form of fertility help.  I am currently 40 and have been trying for 2 yrs to conceive and had to turn to IVF.  I now wish I had tried to conceive 5 years ago.
