ideas for bottles while still breastfeeding

Just wondering if anyone has found a good bottle to use while your not able to breatfeed, I have tried nuk and advent, but they seems like the milks comes out way too fast and he is coughing when he is trying to drink out of them,

Hi,

I use pidgeon, new born, slow flow teats.  Still using them now though my baby is 1 year old (she refuses to use any other).

She is also still exclusively breastfed.

Yeah my guy is a little chuncky, but happy, I have been making a 8oz bottle while  being sick, he doesn't really drink the whole thing but only leaves 1 oz or less, he has a few extra rolls if Taylor would like to use them until she can grow her own LOL. I will start breast feeding again soon, but would still like to keep some of the bigger ones on hand, Thanks ladies

Wow! Big eater! Im lucky if Taylor will take five 4oz bottles in one day!!!! I know that its not much but 8ozs!! LOL!! I love chubby babies, wish mine would eat enough to get some rolls:~) As for places that carry the bigger ones try some place thta carries only baby stuff. I dont know if you have a babies r us close or something similiar. Good luck!!

I am only pumping so I have been using only bottles from the get go and I LOVE Dr. Brown Bottles!!!!! They do make 8 oz that is what we have for Cruz. Wow you have a big eater, we are fighting with Cruz to take 6oz!!! By the way I know they sell the 8 oz at Babies R Us!

We had to experiment with about 7 different kind of bottles with Jazmine.  The only one she would take was Dr Browns.  All baby's will have different preferences through but it might take some experimentation.

I always used the slowest-flow nipple, the one labeled for newborns, even when my son was older.  Maybe the problem is not the nipple so much as the speed of the flow.

The playtex nurser is by far the best I ever used!! No air in baby's tummy. The bag collapses. They have different nipples too if your baby doesn't like the original. My older kids used a regular one and my youngest was happy with the playtex nipple. Let me know what one you go with. I don't like any baby bottle that doesn't have a collapsable bag. That's my opinion and experience!!
