hi there im 28 weeks and had my ob appt yesterday my fundus height is only showing at 22 weeks have to have growth scan next week. ob said that baby is growing at steady rate and hasnt stopped growing he has always been in.lower 10th percentile just concerned. has anyone else had this but gone.on to have healthy baby. also my iron levels are ridiculously low even tho im on iron supplement. have to have iron infusion next week
If your doc says its ok i think dont stress about it. Am 26 weeks and hardly gained any weight but ultrasound and doc says baby is ok. Yes some pple might have smaller babies and some bigger babies but remember the real growyh spurt of babies is after 24 weeks when they start filling up on the structure that has been forming. Work with your doctor and share your concerns with him or her of you are worried.
I am in the same boat love! I'm 32 weeks, and my fundal height measures 29. I had a growth scan at 31 weeks, baby is perfectly healthy, but he measures up in the 20th percentile. No one is particularly worried about it as everything else is fine, but i'm having another scan at 35 weeks to see if he is still growing and by how much. I had the same issue with my son 10 years ago he was born at 38 weeks weighing only 4lb 14oz, perfectly healthy. Docs just think i have small babies.
my baby girl has been being watched for iugr since about 25 weeks. i am not 37+6 and am being induced on wednesday the 20th. she has grown fine, she's between 5.5 and 6 pounds :) i am very excited to see my baby girl in three days!
But, my mom was also told that i was an iugr baby and i am not :) i was only 5 pounds and 13 ounces when i was born. i wouldn't worry too much! some people just aren't meant to have big babies :) GOOD LUCK!
thanka ladies thats reassuring. i just checked.my chart ita showing at 24 weeks and im 28 weeks. just a bit scary when ur told baby is small. i have. only put on 4kilos so far. baby is.moving around alot. so i guess i just go with ob and wait for him to tell me whats going on. thanks heaps ladies u have made me feel a little better
