The shots are going well, but sting like crazy! How is your shot? I'm kind of running out of fat on my stomach....
I tested negative for all clotting disorders, so the docs aren't sure why it happened.
I am just about 3-4wks.
I hope everything goes well with you...thanks
HI CF, I'll be 19 weeks on Monday and I'm taking one Lovenox shot a day. Did they ever do blood tests for you for all of those Proteins and Factors? I was just on another thread in this forum with some gals that have had Factor V deficiency and, as such, have clotting disorders. and are also taking Lovenox (the thread has something to do w/ aspirin in the subject).
I think (hope for safety's sake) that a little further down the road I'll be on two Lovenox shots / day (80mg total), but that depends on a lot of circumstances. I'm fine so far, though. No hints whatsoever of the tell-tale clot symptoms I had before.
How far along are you now? Will be saying lots of prayers for your safety and health as well as for your little bean.

just started lovneox and I can't believe I am actually doing this.
I have been fine for the past 5 1/2yrs and the doctors said I should be fine. Here it goes.....
how far along are you? how much lovenox are you taking?
CF,
I'm 40 and pregnant with my 3rd. My son was born 6.5 years ago and while I was pregnant at 34w I was diagnosed w/ a major DVT (aka blood clot), which only by the miracles of God did not result in a stroke, pulmonary embolism or worse. The DVT, they told me, was the largest they'd ever seen on a pregnant woman and it stretched the entire distance of my iliac/femoral vein from my high-groin to my knee. I went to the doc because my left leg had swelled up 5 inches bigger than my right leg and was bright red. .
Anyways, here I am pregnant but I'm being followed closely by our high-risk specialist and am taking daily Lovenox injections, too.
Are you okay following your stroke? That must have been horribly frightening. If your stroke resulted from a DVT that embolized I'm told that so long as you're anti-coagulated the risks for a repeat occurence are low, but that is in my case specficially and I'm, not sure if that relates across the board.
Best of luck to you and congratulations!!! I hope you'll stay on the board here and continue to let us know how you're doing.
