late night hunger....normal or greedy

Anyone else waking up in the middle of the night starving? I am 21 weeks and this is the first week I am dealing with this. Is this normal or am I greedy??? Oh well I'm about to eat a turkey sandwich!

Try a protien packed smack before bed sick as string chrese, yogurt, protien bar, 1/2 cp cottage cheese and frut,  1/2 PB sandwhich, nuts, etc....Ice cream has too much sugar so it will pack on excess pounds if eaten before bed...

You can make 1/2 PB sandwich, put in bag, leave on night stand or in kitchen....protien bar next to bed etc.

You do burn calories during sleep and baby grows 24 hours a day

^thats how I was around 34 weeks. Little appetite in the daytime but come 3 o'clock a.m....im in the kitchen making a thick Peanut butter and strawberry jam sandwich with a glass of milk EVERY NIGHT until I gave birth lol. My husband would wake up, look at the time, shake his head, and roll over :) baby was happy.

Glad to know I'm not alone. Usually a plain turkey sandwich does the trick. I guess its not too bad since I don't have much of an appetite during the day.

Yup. My munchies started at 20 weeks also. At 30 weeks, I take my midnight snacks very seriously

It started with me in my third trimester every night I wake up at 4 am and need to eat a snack. Usually some graham crackers and milk or a bowl of cereal....sometimes a couple cookies lol

Normal! I'm 35 weeks and it's not as bad anymore. I would always wake up between 2am and 3am hungry. I would just eat a snack not a whole meal. Couldn't go back to sleep until I ate something.
