less movement

I am 37 yr old and 35 weeks. I am feeling baby move less and less over past 2 days. I still feel the occasional twitch or roll, but definitely not 5 times per every hour. Anyone going through same thing? Doctor estimates weight at 7lbs now, so not much room left.

After I posted this, she moved non stop the very next day. I had the stress test last week, and doctor said at first didn't like what she was seeing, and was going to send me to hospital. Then all of a sudden my baby gave her all the action she wanted to see. It is like she sleeps a lot one day, then a jumping jelly bean the next.

When do you do the non stress tests? That's when they monitor baby's movements, heartbeat, and amniotic fluid. I was going twice a week. At 38+2, they saw an issue and induced me. So if you don't feel the kick counts immediately call labor & delivery and get a 2nd opinion.

That makes sense. Your baby is running out of room. I can imagine its a little tight in there. Congratulations. Your baby will be coming soon if he/she is 7 pounds now.

Babies will get less active toward the end of pregnancy. They run out of room in there and they preserve their energy for labor. As long as your feel some movement, it's fine.
