negative IVF results but still no period after 18 days

Hi All,

New member here.  I'm 44 years with 2 sons (19 and 12) with my first husband.  I remarried since 2 years and 3 months trying to have another baby because my new husband doesn't have any.  I have 2 miscariages and try clomid for 4 monts with negative results.  Last month I had try IVF and on April 13 the nurse call to tell me that the result is negative.  Today is April 18 still don't have my period.  Can anyone please help me?  If i'm really pregnant and the nurse asked me to stop the progesterone and Estradoil.  Is that going to affect my baby?

Also I really am more thankful for finding people like me than anything.  Knowing I am not the only one going through this is very comforting.

Hi misha i am in the same boat and nobody here to support hence looking support online. I am 38 year old. I got married 3 years ago since than i am trying for a baby. Like you i have a baby with my first marriage but she is not with me. Today i completed my 2ww and result is negative. Its so heart breaking. This is my second try. Now i have lost my all hope..even i am in a condition to understand what to do now. But best of luck all of you who r trying for a baby.

I wrote you a note but for some reason the computer at the hotel I'm staying at isn't letting me do everything I want.  I wish you the best of luck on your upcoming beta - luckily there are tons of women both on this forum and on the fertility one who are incredibly supportive.  They saved my sanity two years ago when I was in my tww after my 2nd IVF cycle.  SSBD, jen

I also had an first IVF ICSI at 42, I am on Progesterone vaginal gel.
I had 4 embryos transfer and 2 frozen,  the doctors were happy with the all procedure, I was very good responder.
Now I am waiting for my blood test (beta) results and I feel terible, seems the wait is for ever. I hope God will give me a long waiting baby. I pray a lot and I am waiting God to bless me with a baby.

I'm also going thru the same thing,2 failed ivf, and everything was perfect this time, but it was a negative beta. I was so crushed. I don't know what t do next, if I should wait a while or just again..

You could always have another beta just to ease your mind.  It will take a while for your cycle to resume after taking progesterone/Estradiol - if you don't start within the next couple of months, call the re's office - they'll probably put you on Prometrium or something like that.

I'm very sorry for your negative result - I too went through a IVF cycle at 43 - it got cancelled day before retrieval and it was so hard.  Do you plan to keep trying?
