no periods after miscarriage

In may i had a missed miscarriage due to a sub chronic heamatoma.I had to have a dnc. I bleed for five weeks and was refered back to the clinic. I had a scan and they said i had blood clots and an infection but no retained tissue. I was given antibiotics for a week, the bleeding didnt stop i was refered back and i had another scan and they told me i had retained tissue from the pregnancy. I had another dnc and was told my period would return between 4 to 6 weeks this hasnt happened but i have had two episodes of severe pain in my pelvis lasting for 4 to 5 days each time and exactly 4 weeks apart . I have had my hormone level checked and ny LH level was elevated that was 2 weeks ago which sugested that i ovulated. I ended up in A&E yesterday with severe pain . I had a scan and my ovaries look fine but my womb is tender. I am 38 and have had 3 normal pregnancys this is my first miscarriage. It has been 10 weeks since my last dnc. What i want to know is whats happening .Its driving me crazy. Thank you for your time.

Thanks for your reply . I was really at at low today and came across this site.
I spoke to my doctor today and had more blood work done. I have had 2 cycles but without the bleed .This concerns me especially when i end up in pain and nothing happens. The doctor in A&E gave me the impression i was over anxious to conceive .
I felt like telling him he is a man what would he know.
I wont wallow in self pity.
I hope everything works out for you and you husband. Best of luck

I am so sorry for your loss.

I pretty much agree with everything 40smama says (that seems to happen a lot). If bloodwork indicates you probably ovulated around two weeks ago, you may start AF any time now. If not, they can give you medication to get things going again.  Wish you all the best.

I wish I could tell you - just wanted to add my condolences on your loss.  Sometimes it takes time for our bodies to get back in the swing of things.  You've been through a lot w/having two D&C's.  I'd speak to your dr about this - perhaps they can give you some meds to jump start AF.  That's what happened to me after one particular yucky m/c.  I hope your body resumes AF quickly so you won't stress.
