placenta previa

I'm 22 weeks and started having some spotting a couple days ago.. i went to the doctor yesterday and he told me that since I had just had an ultrasound   tuesday they already knew my placenta was low. He said they can't tell how much it is covering my cervix and to just wait it out for 3 weeks for another ultrasound... unless I'm bleeding through a pad not to worry and just take it easy.. really?? 3 weeks?? I'm so nervous and scared... it's been 3 days with mild spotting already.
Anyone have any experience with this? Am I just being paranoid?

I was also told i had placenta previa at 19 weeks and put on pelvic rest...at 26 weeks i bled and was n the hospital for 2 weeks followed by 4 weeks of bedrest...and pelvic rest..i had another ultrasound 4 weeks ago n my placenta moved away from my cervix but only a littke...still pelvic rest!!!.ill be 37 weeks friday and will get another ultrasound to determine if i can deliver vaginally or must have a c section...u will probably have brown blood which is old...only panic n contact dr. If its bright red or clots...the last resort is to deliver...each day the baby stays n is great...my journey has been a true blessing...n dont lift or vacuum or do too much walking...i use the motorized carts at stores n even got a temp handicap pass...this condition is more common nowdays and docs know how to better deal with it...good luck!!

I honestly wouldn't worry too much.. I was told i had complete anterior previa at 18 weeks and by 28 weeks it had moved out of the way. Since yours is considered low the chance of it moving is really really high! You should head to the dr if there's any bleeding but otherwise just relax and enjoy :)
