Women's One A Day prenatal vitamins have DHA and were the ones my doctor recommended.
Well I'm taking DHA now, but I'm already 28 weeks. Certainly can't hurt though. Thanks for info!
DHA is Chain Amino Fatty Acids - Healthy Oil/Fat that support brain growth and function. AKA Omega 3 and Omega 6.
Eat Fish, Eat Foods That Have as Additive...."Smart Balance" butter, peanut butter......Take Fish Oil Pills/vitamins...Barleans Orange Omefa supplement is an orange flavored cream tgat is tasty and can be added to smmothies...also alleged to help support carrying baby to full term
I take fish oil for the DHA because my prenatals don't have it and I don't eat fish.
My prescribed pre natal do have DHA well its a package two pill that include it n the folic acid on the side. My doc said it's very healthy for your baby.
Theyre called VitaFusion. Theyre awesome and taste a lot better than the regular ones.
There is a prenatal gummy vitamin at walmart that contains DHA.
Prenatal vits don't have DHA in them. So you do need to take the extra vit. It's very beneficial for you & baby. I've taken the extra DHA vit during all of my pregnancies. I also take a calcium vit before bed, the extra calcium is good for U and baby. I don't think my dr said anything to me either but I told him when at my 1st apt he wanted to know everything I was taking, vits & if any other medications. I think 8 yrs ago when I had my 1st baby I had read about DHA in a prego mag. FYI check Ur face products too, some ingredients U can't use when prego. Salicylic acid, retina A, etc.
