roller coasters

My period was due today, but nothing yet. Since my temperature has been dropping steadily over the past few days, I'm sure it's a no, but...just in case, does anyone know anything about first trimester and roller coasters? I've read about    dangers later on, but are Disney rollers coasters rough enough to hurt a "maybe" five week old embryo?

Hi Amanda, I think you, of all people, would understand when I say I am afraid to test. I have only been able to get pregnant twice in my last 15 tries. Both of those ended in m/c. It never really occurred to me that I would get pregnant before the family vacation. The only thing I can think of is being at the "happiest place on earth", lying in my room as I have another m/c. You are so positive about everything that has happened to you, and I really have only been able to keep going from drawing strength from your experiences. I am going to wait until Weds, then I will do a test if AF hasn't appeared. I really want to be pregnant, but...well, you know.

Some of the rides actually have signs posted about not riding while pregnant. Although I am sure it is to do with covering their own @ss, I am sure there is also some good reasons behind it.

If you are actually indeed pregnant there are still lots of awesome things to still do during your trip!

Good luck on the BFP1

Oh lucky you, going to Disneyland. My favorite place to visit!!  I am not sure if it would hurt anything or not.  I think the main reason they tell you not to is all the whipping around, especially Space Mountain and that upside down one at California World.  I would think you would also be more prone to motion sickness....I know I have some days where a rocking chair makes me nauseous.  I doubt at this stage it would actually hurt the embryo, I'm sure lots of women have ridden it not even knowing they were pregnant.  However, if your period was due today, an HPT should be pretty acurate, especially a First Response.  Maybe try that first before you make your decisions.

Whatever the case, have a blast at Disney, and I am keeping fingers crossed for a BFP.
