scare

Hi. This is my four baby. Today I am 34 weeks and 3 days. Yesterday, I went to the doctor, and she told me that I am having contractions every 3 minutes; I don't feel the contractions. I am scare because I don't want to have my baby before week 37. In your experiences is there any possibility to have my baby soon. My other babies were schedule c-section. Thanks

Thanks for sharing your experience. My biggest concern is my baby; I don't want him to stay in the hospital for weeks because he will born before 37 weeks. I am trying to stay calm as much as I can, but it is very difficult because I have a 3 years old son. I have an appointment today; lets see what they tell me about the contractions and the baby.

I have. My third pregnancy I had contractions started around 29w they were all day every day but at first only Braxton hicks. They were painless and hardly noticeable. At 33w I started to notice them more.. they didn't hurt and were not consistent. I'd get them for 3hrs straight 2-3min apart. Then stop! Then 12hrs straight 4min apart then stop. So at 34w I went into the hospital because I was concerned that I kept getting them and I was 5cm dilated at 90% effaced. Contractions were 2min apart.. I was put in labor and delivery and told I'd have my baby that day. I was sent home 2 days later... after my contractions once again stopped!  I forced them to induce me at 36w because I simply couldn't take the contractions anymore. My ob said I likely would have made 40w if I stopped going to the hospital every day and complaining about the level of pain I was in. My daughter was 9lbs and healthy as could be!!
