I was about 5 weeks pregnant (from ovulation) when the home test finally showed a positive and I went in a few days later for the blood test to confirm. Those HCG numbers also confirmed I was about 5 1/2 weeks pregnant. My period had been missing for 3 weeks by then so I knew something was up because I'm not usually late.

You may want to call your ob/gyn and have the blood test done. And/or try a different brand of home test. There are so many different brands out there. Best to test first thing in the morning when your fluid concentrations are the highest. Good luck!

You may want to go in for a pregnancy blood test, or keep taking home tests about a week apart. I took three home tests, each a week apart, and the positive test didn't appear until the third test. Is this your first pregnancy? Sore breasts are a common first sign, along with your missing period. Good luck with whatever you are wishing for.
