spitting up ALOT

My baby is two weeks old tomorrow. I have been breastfeeding. Well he has been spitting up every time I nurse him, so I've been pumping to see if maybe he was just over eating and I've been giving him two and a half Oz and he still spits up. And it's A LOL every time. Almost like it's his whole meal. Also, he's really gassy and gets hiccups every time also.

You can get medicine for him. When my son was a lot younger and spit up a lot the doctor gave me tablets that I ground up and mixed with a drop of water to make a paste and put it in his mouth before a feed and it helped.

I went to the doctor today and they said that he has reflux. The last visit I was told to watch dairy intake and spicy things so I've changed my diet! Thank yall for the advice!

My daughter did the same thing. It was a guarantee that she would spit up after nursing. I had a very fast letdown and I think that's what kinda did it for her.

I has that problem when I breastfed my first. I had to change my whole diet to dairy free and not spicy at all to keep her from spitting up.  Also I pumped and used dr browns bottles. That cut the projectile vomiting down significantly!  When I would forget and have dairy or chilli or something then the poor kid would vomit again. So your diet does affect a baby with a sensitive stomach!

Sounds like he is lactose intolerant:/ your gonna have to give him no dairy, sensitive tummy formula :/
With lactose intolerance comes acid reflux, keep an eye out when he spits up if he cries out comes out his nose :/
