I was actually going to post about this same thing this morning, when I saw this. I am going to my chiropractor this afternoon to get adjusted and am hoping that will ease the headaches (mine can sometimes happen with a bad neck alignment), but if it doesn't, I'll be calling the doctor on Monday.
I do know that headaches can be a normal symptom of pregnancy, but I also know that they can indicate something else, so it's better to never take it for granted and always ask the doctor. As we know all too well, every woman and every pregnancy is different.
amsmom, I'm with 40smama, the increase in pain when you are turning your head or coughing as well as the onesidedness of it could mean that it is not related to your pregnancy, so you should probably call the doctor to be sure that everything is okay. For me, when it hurts more when I move, it is more an indicator of my neck and upper back being out of alignment and that causes a headache for me. But again, I know that everyone is different, so it's better to be safe than sorry!
Good luck and keep us posted ;)
I'm sorry that it's hormone related but I'm glad you got your doctor to check it out just in case. I hope things get better soon.
I got dreadful headaches after the miscarriage due to dropping hormones. I read that caffeine could help so had many cups of tea and it actually seemed to help a lot. Take care.
I did discuss with my doctor and there is nothing she can do... it's hormone changed ....
I'm so sorry you're having headaches - that's terrible. To make sure everything's okay, I'd check this out w/your doctor. To me it's concerning that you're experiencing pain when turning your head or coughing. It's probably due to pregnancy but let your doctor know to be sure. Bless your heart - I live w/that kind of pain and it's definitely not fun! - jen
I ALWAYS get headaches in pregnancy. As I do before my period comes. It's your hormones being crazy!
Try putting really cold towels on your head, & sometimes for me the opposite works, I would use a heat pad!
I had really bads headaches with my last pregnancy, this is very common, I was worried about taking too much Tylenol but I had to take it frequently.
Yes... i have headache everyday with this pregnancy... sometimes I want to take a hammer and hit the head...
It's normal since your hormone changed.. might go away or might now.. Take tylnelno that's will help...or apply ice cold pad...
