topamax and pregnancy
HELP! i just found out that I am 6 weeks pregnant and I have taken seven 50mg Topamax randomly over the past three weeks. Was that enough to cause a birth defect for my unborn child?
Our son passed away gtom the use of Topamax during our pregnancy and our current pregnancy our daughter is being affected again.. so the answer is yes.
Speak to your doctor, but typically no. The first few weeks baby is not using your blood supply just yet so much of it probably never even went to your child. Many woman do not realize they are prego and continue to take their normal medications then worry. I was taking imitrex before I found out I was pregnant and my LO turned out just fine
