Onions this time. Last time I couldn't stand the smell of them...this time it's all I want.
Fried in butter yet...eek.
However, I did try some avacado and peanut butter on toast, and it was great. lol
Last time all I ate was avacado on toasted "everything" bagels...mmm.
Time before all I wanted was rootbeer flavoured popsicles and chamomile tea.
One before that was salads only, and with the first it was peanutbutter and cheese on toast.
Gotta love those weird cravings.
Anyone ever get the old cliche' one? Pickles and icecream?
Before I was pregnant, I was not eating any processed food and barely even any grains at all - just some meats, dairy, and tons of vegetables. But in that 1st trimester, all I could eat was carbs, carbs, carbs - that and V-8, oddly. It was such a change in my diet but I could not stomach any of my typical foods - so I know what you mean. I figured there was a reason for it and I just went with it. By the time my second trimester came around, I could eat all my same foods again - so don't worry, this phase won't last long.
Pancakes were my weakness!! That was all I could stomach and all I wanted. With strawberries and whip cream!! That and carrot muffins!!
Hi there,
I am also 8 weeks pregnant & have been enjoying grill cheese although not craving too much yet.
Adgal-- You are making me hungry with the bacon cheeseburger.
Your cravings are healthier then mine were. I can remember days when I would have given an arm for a Wendy's bacon cheeseburger.
yep, carbs always taste better! I'm a chicken and veggies girl too, and couldn't touch either one for quite a while. Just listen to your body and know that as you progess, you will probably be able to tolerate healthier options. Chicken, steak and fish, however, were always hard for me my last pregnancy. But with my daughter, bring on the cheeseburgers!
PB&J and grilled cheese sandwiches always sounded good too. :)
LOL, with my son I craved BBQ chicken all the time HAD to be on the grill! With my daughter, I wanted watermelon everyday!! Isn't it odd how our body changes, too funny!
Oh I hear you Staned ! All the foods I used to love seem nasty to me. However, its the junk food I used to like I can't stand. I crave for fruit :/ and Veg. And my sense of smell has hit the roof. I gave up smoking soon as I found out I was pregnant and since then I can smell toooooo well. ick :(
