water may be leaking

i had a small gush of fuild and there is nothing else coming out right now, but i'm due for a c-section on tuesday.. and the doctor said my swab was positive,  so what should i do???

my guess....your water broke and baby's head sort of "corked" the flow of fluid...I hope you delivered a healthy baby! all the best!

I don't think I would take any chances.  If it were me, I would be at the hospital.  As Tricia said, no sense in risking anything.  Good luck, and it sounds like baby is on the way soon!!!  Congrats.

If your swab was positive for amniotic fluid, I'm shocked your MD hasn't admitted you! Did they send you home??? That happened with my son, and my MD said that I could either stay in the hospital and wait for labor to start or they could induce me...either way, I wasn't going home - too much risk for infection. I chose to induce, and it was a short, relatively easy labor (four hours). What has your MD said? Why are you not in the hospital?

I would call your doctor. You might be in early labor. It is always better to be safe then sorry!!! Congrats, you will be holding your little one soon!
