epideral

i had my daughter 2 months ago, and i got the epideral. While i was getting it they told me i had scoliosis ( i dont know if this is whats causing it or not ) but ever since everytime i move my back like slouch over or anything but sitting straight it hurts... i really think the epideral messed my whole back up, and its the exact spot they gave me the epideral in.  i cant explain the feeling its so weird... and i dont know if my scolisosis is the cause or not so has anyone else had the epideral mess your back up?! Ugh gay -_-

Yes that could definitely be. I've heard of a couple women who had back pain after. :-(
for the scoliosis, please see a massage therapist or massage practitioner. I am one myself, and would suggest every woman and baby to get checked after about 6 weeks after delivery in general. Things will be better after a massage. Especially if you have a scoliosis. All the best to you ;-)

With my first epi I had back pains in that area also. After my second epi almost a yr & a half later,  it seemed to heal my back pains.  So, this is baby #3 I plan to have another epi.

i hear a lot of women complain even years after they got the ep. they say you get back problems after when you lay down and sit up. it could be but i think its just the ep all together that caused it. i hope you feel better. get it looked at as well.

and I dont see it as messing my back up I see it as a side effect from the epidural, I wanted a painless delivery so I guess thats what I have to live with now. That's how I see it.

With my son I got the epidural and I know what you mean sometimes when I bend over when im getting up it hurts, or like when its cold but not all the time. I had my son almost 6 years ago so I don't think its going to go away.

Could have been. It's one of the possible side effects listed. I would also suggest seeing a chiropractor. Labor and the strain of delivery could also have messed with your back.

Never had an epi but I'm sure it probably has something to do with that. Isn't that where your spine is like an S shape?
