There are quite a few reasons for the spotting. Maybe you need to lie down with your feet up, your over stressed and its showing, I had a tear in my gestastional sac. It heals on its own but you'd have bed rest for atleast 30 days. I would call your doctor, but as long as your not in any pain or with bright red blood then I would not worry to much. Then again could be your just "having regular bleeding" and its absolutely nothing! Just to be certain, get some rest and call the doc. Try to relax and take it easy. Merry Christmas to you! and Best wishes

how far along are you? i had spotting with my last pregnancy, and it turned out to be ectopic, and ended up rupturing, but i had no pain until rupture.  if you are more than 9-10 weeks along, then it is probably not ectopic. ectopic usually is around 6-8 weeks.   before we knew it was ectopic, my dr. was telling me that bleeding can be normal in the first trimester. they said if it is brownish, then it is old blood. it could be that you were going to start your period right before you got pregnant and there is some old blood coming out now. my sister bled every month untill her 5th month or so. she now has a healthy 2 yr. old. if you are not having any pain or cramping, or bright red blood, i would not be too worried. just take it easy, and if it gets worse call your dr.
i hope you and your baby will be ok. merry christmas. take care
