1 pregnacy 2 babies 2 fathers?? what

I have a family member that just found out she is pregnant with twins. She is 9 weeks along. She's been to the doctor & they told us one baby was 9 week's and the other was 8 week's. I'm shocked! They are not identical because the babies are in different sacks. Does this mean she has two different baby father's? That can happen? Will both babies be delivered on the same day? Obviously I left out the room & barely asked any questions because I know she was embarrassed so here I am seeing if any of you ever heard of this? Thanks! Crazy right!

Ps- I'll support her no matter what!!

I don't wanna scare you because it may be nothing at all, but USUALLY if both babies were conceived at the same time, they measure almost exactly the same until about the third trimester. Then they usually measure differently because of the lack of room to grow. But being so early, I'd be worried if they measured a whole week diff and both eggs were fertilized the same time

I actually saw it in Maury too lol. If she had 2 separate partners in that time frame its possible. Its crazy but possible.

Thanks everyone! I know you all was like " what the heck"!!

We talked about it and she did confirm that she slept with two guys in the same week ughhhhh, but she also said that she was thinking about adoption. Being as though she's only 15 she thinks that it is best for her children. I'm strongly thinking about being the adopted parent but me & my husband is not agreeing so we'll see how things work out. It's so sad when young girl's get their self in situations like this. For my family it will be ok. She has a great support system. Once again
thank-you all!

It's possible that the babies have different dads. It's also possible that they have the same dad and one is just bigger then the other! Both babies will be born on the same day! =)

My twin and I were in different sacks. But the doctors didnt know that there was a second baby in my mom. He came out a week after I did but at the time my mom didnt know wat it was at the time. So she took it to the doctors to find out. They told her it was a baby that didnt make it.

It is possible!! I watched it on Maury lol. But the only way you can be for sure that they have different father's is a DNA test after they're born.

If they are fraternal twins they might have different father I didn't think it was possible but it is I've seen it the only way to tell for sure is through a DNA test its possible but doesn't mean that they are from different father.

It's not possible for humans to have twins with different fathers. They have the Same father. All fetuses develop at different rates that's why one is 8 weeks and one is 9 :)

No she doesn't have two different baby daddies. It sounds like one baby is measuring further along than the other. Which is a typical multiple thing. Usually one baby is bigger than the other. And both babies will be born on the same day unless born around midnight then theres the chance they won't have the same bday.
