10 week dr apt? should i be worried

So i had my 10th week dr apt and they tried to hear the baby heartbeat but they couldnt find it. The doctor said not to worry that it might just be to early and I should hear it for sure next time. Has this happen to anyone around the 10th week mark... i had a ultrasound at 8 weeks and my little nugget was in there where it was suppose to be and i could see the heart flickering... just wated to see what you guys thought

Not to worry.  At 10 weeks it's sometimes difficult to hear the HB via dopplar.  Many factors can hinder it including placement of the placenta.  With my last pregnancy I had an anterior placenta and wasn't able to hear the HB on dopplar until 12 weeks and even then it was very faint.

Hi! Congrats on the pregnancy! I am 28 wks and when I went in at 9wks for my first visit my doctor had told me that I wasnt going to hear the heartbeat until 12 to 13 wks because of the uterus moving above the pelvic bone at this time. Its nothing abnormal to not hear the heart beat some people can and some people dont! I wouldnt be discouraged and you will hear it the next time! Good Luck with your pregnancy!

I went in at 11 weeks and he couldn't find my babies heart beat either, but I too had an ultrasound before that and everything was fine.  I will go back in, in 2 weeks, I will be 16 weeks at the time and should be able to hear the baby.  You are just fine.
