If your doctor isn't telling you then ASK! My doctor gave me a diet plan stay away from a lot of sugar and fake process foods... Fast foods are the worst but eating it a couple Times is not gonna hurt you... Drink a lot of water and 100% juices you should have been proscribed a prenatal vitamin if not ASK your doctor ...I was told to stay away from curten fish, maybe Google could help identify which ones.. and lunch meats heat them up don't eat cold .. dont eat red meats and make sure eggs and meats are cooked all the way... If you don't want to gain extra pounds don't  eat junk food it's kinda common sense....

I am not trying to tell you what to do you can honestly eat whatever you choice but these are some things MY doctor told me about every doctor is different but I have a very good one and I have insurence as well.... Good luck and don't be shy to ASK your gyno  or doctorquestions about food ect :)

You should probably look into getting a new doctor... I love mine!! She migjt not know everything but she helps me get the info I need if she doesn't know. Do your research and dont just relie on what people tell you. Prenatals are a must! 400mcg of folic acid to help ur baby build a strong spine and brain!! No deli meats or red meats! Unpasteurized milk products are a nono too!  Good luck!

Iam not going to lie iam horrible for eating candy and McDonalds . I have tho incorporated eating breakfast and eating healthier snacks such as fruit ,yogurt, and veggies.I still let myself have a Lil candy and McDonalds just don't only eat that. A good guide to look at is the Canadian food guide or just google what shouldn't I eat while pregnant. I find google is my best friend when i feel a little uncomfortable asking others. I googled about taking tums for indigestion and heart burn ect while pregnant because I was having an issue with indigestion so bad. If your from the us Iam sure they have a healthy food guide too.

Hi there! When I was 5 weeks I made sure to ask my doctor about that. Limit your fish intake, especially sardines, lobster and other seafood with high mercury. No tuna.  Whole grains and wheats are healthier for you instead of white bread, white pasta/rice, etc. Be sure to increase your calcium and Vitamin D intake as well!!
