Woke up today went to bathroom.. Noticed bright red blood in toilet! I freaked out crying to the hubby because I've had 2 miscarriages! Went to the ER gt an ultrasound baby was moving around very active and I was measuring 11 1/2 weeks from what the ER Dr said! Heartbeat was 154 which has me worried at 9 weeks 6 days I had an ultrasound and it was 167! Has any one else experienced this before? They didn't see where the bleeding was coming frm I do have blood in the cervix! But the dr said that was normal! I have an appt tomorrow with my ob! I'm a nervous reck!! I agree with mlward3.

The ER did a very long sono on me and that is where it was first noticed.  The next day my OB found it.  He told me to "take it easy"...but I went on bedrest,  4 days later the SCH had already started to shrink.

HOWEVER, he did tell me that the SCH would either bleed out or be absorbed into my body.  Although I haven't had bleeding since Monday, I have been spotting on and off.  He told me to expect more blood, though.  Perhaps if you do have an SCH then it's just bleeding out.  You should go to an ER where they have the ability to do an in depth ultrasound.  Or call your OB and see if anyone is on duty.

They need to scan you and let You know where its coming from....
sounds like a SCH ( what the other ladies mentioned) I too had one around 9wks and they put me on bed rest and pelvic rest! You need to go back at least for peace of mind to know what's going on! In my opinion if your not already on bedrest you need to be Asap!! Praying for you and baby!

Also the heartbeat changes depending on what they baby is doing if it is sleeping or resting then its going to be lower than if its been up and jumping around for a while. Just like with adults we have resting and working out heart rates.

Also I had a subchoronic bleed during my pregnancy and my daughter is now 3 1/2.

I thought I would just post to say 154 is a strong heart beat..

Also as your pregnancy progresses, the hearbeat lowers.. It is very common for heart beats when they first start beating they tend to be 160-200 range and then after a couple weaks, it tends to be closer to the 120 to 180 range

Any HB under 90 is said to be concern.

I had this happen on Sunday at 9 weeks.  It was a LOT of blood though, heavier than a normal period.  I went to the ER and saw baby moving around too - high heartbeat.

It turned out to be a subchorionic hemorrhage.  Sounds scary - and it certainly was.  And although I was not reassured by the ER doctor, I was by my OB.  He said lots of women have them - it is common.  Some women bleed them out and sometimes the body absorbs them. Mine was caused when the placenta implanted and started growing.  I was in the OB on Monday and today and the SCH has already shrunk.  I am still spotting some, but it seems like old blood.

This may not be it...but maybe it is.  I hope it is reassuring.  Did you have intercourse?  I know with my first child I did and it caused some bleeding just from the cervix being messed with.

Also - I wouldn't worry about the heartbeat.  140 - 180 is normal range.
