12 week cramping, anyone?

I am finally 12 weeks!  Yea, Im so excited!!  For the last 3 days I have been having menstual type cramps.  They come and go, but it is a lingering pain.  I was under the impression that ligament pain was sharp and brief, and this isnt, so I dont think it is ligament pain.  I called the doctor and they are not concerned, saying it is normal.  But I am wondering how normal. Have any of the rest of you experienced this?? Like I said, it is a mild-moderate menstrual type cramp, they last for awhile when they come on.  I am just a little nervous given my history....

i had cramping the majority of my pregnancy and i am 33 weeks, it is probably just normal cramping/ligament pain, unless it is unbearable or accompanied by bleeding you are probably fine! good luck! :)

Hi i will be 12 weeks in a few days and i am still getting menstrual type cramps. Im pretty sure it is completely norma (thats what i hear)l but i do have an appt tomorrow i will ask my OB...Also i noticed i get more cramps at the end of the month when my prd was due.

See that is why I am confused, the cramping is not on the sides, I have read the RLP is along the bikini line, and mine is not. It is centered pretty much right above my pubic bone.....  Could it still be RLP??

I too get not so much cramping but pulling along the sides of my belly it can last for awhile - it's just round ligament pain. All the stretching can be uncomfortable.  When i was pg with DD i confused RLP for cramping and went to the ER - it was just stretching.  As long as you are not bleeding you should be ok. I'm just 12w3d and I get all sorts of weird pains.  As long as there is no blood and they are not really painful I try not to worry. HTH!
