I'm 10 weeks and started off 106 or so. Im about 30 pounds under weight and have gained 8 pounds so far. Lol. I gain a lot of weight while pregnant, its the only time I've ever been able to gain weight. But my body must need it cause all I really eat is fruits and veggies and my prenatals. My  body just does what it needs to to get healthy for baby.

Everyone is different and based on your body type your dr may want you to gain more or less. Every dr has their own feelings as to what they think is ok. Lots of boks will tell you 25-35 pounds if you are not over or under weight pre pregnancy. My dr has said a pound for how many weeks is ok with him. So by 24 weeks which I am today I could be ok to have gained 24 pounds. Keep in mind though that the baby starts putting on weight rapidly around week 24-36. But for me by week 20 I had gained 13 lbs and the dr and nurses were all happy with that.

Im about 20lbs overweight for my height. And i havent gained any weight, im 20w3d. My doctor wasn't concerned, she said the baby doesn't even weigh a pound yet to be making me gain weight. And that as long as baby is getting what he needs, everything is fine.

My doctor said that for pregnancy weight gain by that time should be around 10-15lbs. Overall pregnancy should gain 15-25lbs.

I however are in the group that the doctor encourages weight loss. I'm high risk and due to gall stones are on a low fat diet....I'm 22wks and have lost 20+lbs!

Most doctors are more concerned with that the baby is getting the right nutrition. So as long as you are eating majority healthy you should be fine on your weight gain....or in my case weight lost!
