2 questions!!!

I'm 37wks and 1cm dialated and 80% effaced is it okay to still have sex? and also how long did it take you guys to go into labor when you was told at 37wks you were 1cm dialated 80% effaced?

It is okay to have intercourse as long as you have not broken your water. I had intercourse the night before I was induced and I was 1 cm dialiated and 50% effaced. As for your second question every pregnancy is different so you could go in 5 min or 3 weeks... Good Luck with your upcomming Blessing!

ive never been in labor so i wouldnt beable to tell you how long labor took sorry lol but i heard its safe to have sex untill your water breaks of course i want to wish you a happy safe labor and like the other woman said i would walk alot :)

I'm also 37 wks, 2 cm and 70% effaced.  With my second daughter I was dialated for 2 wks and when she came she came fast.  I am also hoping for a quick delivery with this one!  I also think that sex (when I climaxed) was when I started labor.  So I think you are perfectly fine to continue having sex.  Might help things along!  Good luck.

I'm having a girl and already have a  5yrs old son I had him at 38wks but it seems so long ago hoping for 38wks and a fast labor with this one as well

Thanks for the feedbabck my doctor just took me out of work today so I'm going to enjoy my weekend walking and BDing even though I not really up to it.

It's perfectly fine to have sex, as long as your water hasn't broken, I would just keep going with it as it will help move things along! =) I went into labor by 38 weeks. I was 4cm and 100% effaced right around 37 weeks. You are getting there. You could go into labor tomorrow or it may be another couple of weeks! I would do lots of walking! =)
