Hi I had the same shooting pain in my pregnancy, this started around 32 weeks, I finally gave birth at 41 weeks so nothing to worry about, I think it's just the baby moving downwards and your body stretching.
Its most likely because the baby is resting on a nerve. It seems to happen a lot during the end of pregnancy. Like GreenEyedMama said if you try to move the baby around and get them off of the nerve than it will usually go away.
I have the same shooting pain in my vagina (cervix). I`m 31 weeks. I can`t walk. I don`t think that is from dilatating. Dilatation is not such an easy thing. Maybe is just from stretching.
I got those tell about 35 weeks i think.I couldnt walk or move it hurt so bad.Its ligiments and or pressure on your main veins.sometimes you feel the baby hit you dwon there like thier gonn pop you water to i hat that pain.I would always jump. The only thing you can do is move around to try to make it stop.
